Field hockey players get their kicks
This instructional program is designed to develop the skills necessary to play competitive field hockey. All levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Teams travel to Agawam, East Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Westfield, South Hadley, Belchertown and Northampton. Each team participates in 1-2 tournaments or jamborees. The season starts in late August and runs through the first week of November. Practices/games are 3-4 times each week. Parent coaches, assistants and volunteers are always needed. More information will be sent to the participants in August. Each player must provide a stick, mouth guard, goggles and shin pads. We have a limited number of sticks to borrow. We provide a uniform shirt and socks. In addition, players must wear plain black shorts to each game.
