9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Circuit Lab Summer Programs, Grades 1-7 - Circuit Makers 101, Grades 1-3
Your kids use electronics every day. What if they could use them to turn their dreams into reality? Our students learn what's "under the hood" of electronic devices, so they can understand more about the technology around them and start to design their own devices. In Circuit Lab classes, kids discover the fundamentals of circuits and the power of computer programming. Each class involves a lesson and a hands-on project, where they can create using lights, motors, programming languages, Bluetooth communication, and more. Guided by expert instructors, students learn and play in a fun, supportive environment where experimentation is encouraged and they can create something to be proud of each day.Questions about Circuit Lab? Email learn@circuit-lab.com or visit www.circuit-lab.com. Circuit Makers 101, Grades 1-3Let's get creative with electricity! In this junior hands-on electronics class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments. Each class day consists of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronics project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors. Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day. Most class days include a take-home project.Hands-On Electronics, Grades 4-7In a world powered by smart technology and AI, the most innovative engineers understand how software and hardware work together. This course gives young makers that critical edge. We start by exploring the magic of electronics with simple circuits, then begin making customized programmable devices with Arduino. We will gain practice working with LEDs, speakers, a variety of sensors, and several kid-friendly programming interfaces. Each class day is a chance to design, build, and code a new hands-on project while developing a valuable skill set.

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Crayola Imagine Arts Academy (Art-ventures) and Mad Science, Grades K-5, Summer Programs - Art-ventures with Pigasso and Mootise, Grades K-5
Art-ventures: Jungle Journey ART-ventures in the Rainforest:Art explorers take their inner artist for a walk in the rainforest and discover a variety of endangered creatures who live there.  Lizards and poison dart frogs, bugs and butterflies, tigers and monkeys and more.  Learn about the layers of the rainforest while experimenting with a variety of art forms.  Experience fabric design while dyeing bandannas and making rainbow T-shirts.  Sculpt animals out of clay, make 3-D paper reptiles, and create rainforest flowers.  Decorate beach balls, draw tigers with oil pastels, and paint ceramic flowerpots that look like boots.  Discover stained glass and scratch art too.  Art-ventures: with Pigasso and Mootise:Art explorers lean about real artists, their vision of the world and the materials and techniques they use or used.  Think about famous artists like Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, Modigliani, Homer, and more.  Included are fun and funky 3-D projects using unconventional and sometimes kooky, artists techniques and materials.  During this art-packed week create vibrant tie-dyed t-shirts, decoupage large paper mache stars, design leather wristbands and celestial stained glass, experiment with emotion collages, mosaic art and so much more!Mad Science: E2: Engineering Explorers:If a child loves to build things or destroy them, this week includes lots of both!  The junior engineers will design & build bridges & "skyscrapers" using simple tools and their imagination.  Kids will even construct a geodesic dome big enough for all the campers to sit inside!  Then the machine madness starts as they discover, build, and invent simple machines, & solve problems with contraptions.Mad Science: Red Hot Robots:Children will learn the basics of robotics by constructing their own age-appropriate robot throughout the week.  They will gain a basic knowledge of the science of wheels, simple machines, and gears.  They will experience different types of robotic devices including line-tracking and responsive robots.  Robots go home with campers on the last day of the program. Mad Science: Secret Agent Lab:This program features fun-filled, hands on, secret agent-themed activities that allow kids to play detective, explore forensic science. sharpen their surveillance skills, and crack encrypted messages.  Kids will become super sleuths.
